Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German television and film actress popular for her work in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole daughter of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra, she entered entertainment early and began playing lead roles in different series on TV by the time she reached the age of 16. Her fame was due to her part of Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable international and national projects throughout the years. These include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon in addition to other projects. Also, she was on the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
